A trade mark is a sign which is used to distinguish the goods and/or services of one undertaking from those of other undertakings. In other words, a trade mark can be thought of as a brand name.

A registered trade mark allows the owner to stop others from using identical or confusingly similar trade marks in relation to identical or similar goods and/or services.

As with patents, registered trade marks are national rights and so applications must be filed in each country in which you would like to seek protection.

You can download our trade mark application questionnaire and we would be happy to provide a cost estimate for a trade mark application.
